If You Utter Worthy Words …

If You Utter Worthy WordsIf you utter worthy, not worthless words, you will be my spokesman. Jeremiah 15:15

Father, I ask that you put your words in my mouth, my writing. Please place your Shoes of Peace on my feet. May I speak words of encouragement, hope, and truth. May my writing entertain and enlighten those living in the shadows of darkness.

The law is spiritual; I am unspiritual. If I do what I do not want to do, it is sin living in me. I have the desire to do what is good, but cannot carry it out. The evil I do not want to do, this I keep on doing. My mind is a slave to God’s law, but the members of my body make me a slave to the law of sin. Romans 7:16, 18, 19, 23, 6

Father forgive me for the sins committed by the members of my body. You know the desires of my heart, my soul. I cannot be the man I wish to become. Only you can change me. I am powerless to remove the curse that keeps me enslaved to sin. So I ask, I beg, place the righteousness of your Son Jesus within me. May He be the healing help I need to live righteously and with integrity.

  1. Thank you for these words. I needed to read them today. Isn’t it amazing how God can use seemingly random events and “coincidence” to speak to us? Today, He has blessed me through you, an event that has happened many times since we met. I look forward to our next meeting. God bless you and yours, and Merry Christmas to you all.
